Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs speaking at Stanford in 2005.

Like many of you, I was deeply saddened this week to hear about Steve Jobs’s death. I’ll say more about it in my sermon on Sunday. I’ll also refer to his profoundly good 2005 commencement address to Stanford University. If you want to get a head start, you can watch it below.

As you watch it, consider these questions: What parts of the speech resonate with you and why? What role would Jobs say that faith played in his business success? What role did the prospect of death play in his life? Are there parts of this speech that ring true for you as a Christian?
