Ten Commandments sermon series starts Sunday

It seems like every couple of years in our country, we argue over whether it’s appropriate to post the Ten Commandments in courthouses and public squares. These arguments usually generate more heat than light, and they often miss the point: What do the Ten Commandments mean for us today? Are we faithfully following them? How do we apply them in light of Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount and elsewhere?

These are some questions we’ll be discussing in Vinebranch in our four-part sermon series on the Ten Commandments. This Sunday, we begin our series by looking at the first three commandments in Exodus 20:1-7.

This Sunday, we’re also celebrating the renovation to our church facilities. If you haven’t checked out the new Vinebranch Chapel, please feel free to drop any time before the service on Sunday morning. You can treat yourself to the best cup of coffee in the church and hear Stephanie Newton and the Vinebranch band rehearse!
